Angel Setting Off For Stanford University

Four star 6’7 SF Brandon Angel of Torrey Pines is headed to Stanford! After a strong summer showing last summer on the Gamepoint 17u Elite squad, the versatile Angel chose Stanford over Cal, Kansas State, Wisconsin & Utah. Brandon is coming off a strong senior season where he led the Falcons to the San Diego Open Division Championship game and was named First Team All State. Stanfoord is coming off their first 20-win season since 2014-15 which means Angel is stepping into a basketball program on the rise. As an official Cardinal, his exciting Pac-12 league play includes programs like University of Washington, USC and University of Arizona.

On Angel’s choice to attend Stanford, his Gamepoint coach, XXX, shared  “We are so extremely proud of Brandon. Not that he will be attending Stanford in the fall, but of all the work he put in to get there–both on the court and in the classroom. Stanford has a great program, and is the perfect place for Brandon.”

According to,  “Adding four highly-sought after players to a team on the rise, Stanford men’s basketball has signed Ziaire Williams, Noah Taitz, Max Murrell and Brandon Angel to letters of intent for the 2020 campaign. Stanford’s recruiting class is ranked No. 13 and No. 14 overall, per 247Sports and Rivals, respectively, while both platforms praise the Cardinal as the No. 1 class in the Pac-12.” Read the whole release.
