2018 6'3 SG Wayne Arnold committed to Cal State Fullerton Monday night. The athletic shooting guard from Dominguez High School in Compton became the second player off the Gamepoint Pump N Run 17u team to commit to a Division school. He joins backcourt teammate Taurus Samuels, who gave a verbal commitment to Dartmouth back in June.
"Wayne had a tremendous spring and summer for us. He is very explosive in the open court and does a great job shooting the ball" says Gamepoint Basketball director Charlie Mercado. "Coach Apple at Dominguez has done a great job with Wayne and his development."
Nevada, UC Santa Barbara and Washington State were among the other schools to make Arnold's final list.
Wayne averaged 21.3 ppg last year for the Dons, while leading them to a 19-8 overall record last season.
